What does "being strong" mean to you? Words that come to mind are discipline and foundation. Standing firm in who you are and your beliefs. Unwavering in changing circumstances.
How does family shape your perception of strength? I have a deep desire to be strong for my kids. To show them by example that in life’s hard moments, we turn to God for our strength.
What keeps you strong in times of trial? Trying to set an example for my kids. I want them to know their mom was held stable by her faith. That she was unbothered by worldly matters because she knew her identity in Christ.
How have your trials made you stronger? I believe if you face your trials with God, you exercise the ability to snap into a biblical perspective more naturally the next time life knocks you down.
What’s one thing someone could do today to make them stronger? I have a timer on my phone for a time of day I typically feel the need for a reset or recharge. Mine is labeled “Pray and Check Attitude”. Gratitude and prayer have to be two of our most direct lines to strength. A mid-day check-in helps me, it might help others too!
Jill’s Intentional Act of Kindness
How did you use the $100? I made homemade meals for two families I know are going through harder times. One with a newborn and one with a quickly declining family member. I wanted to do something personal for the people in my community needing some extra kindness and help.
What was the 'Intentional Act of Kindness' process like for you? Felt so good to feel helpful and encouraging to just act on the desire to help. To show up without being asked.
